In new business, Chamber dues were discussed. It was discussed that our dues have not changed for several years. It was noted that our dues are much lower than other area communities, some of which are the same size as Holstein and some that are larger. It was also noted to discontinue using the word ‘dues’ and use the word ‘investment’, as that is what each business member is doing, making an investment in their community and business. After much discussion, J Dittmer made a motion to change the business investment to $75.00 with a $25.00 fee to link a business website to the Holstein Chamber website and to change the investment to $50.00 for civic organizations with no fee for an organization link to the Chamber’s.
